Chalk Teeth
What are chalk teeth?
If children and adolescents suffer from porous, discolored and pain-sensitive teeth, they may be chalk teeth (MIH – Molar incisive hypomineralization). The first symptoms can already appear in the molars in the primary dentition.
It is a tooth enamel defect. As a result, the teeth react sensitively to heat and cold, often making chewing and brushing much more difficult. In younger children, the milk teeth can already be affected, in older children the permanent teeth. It usually affects one to four posterior molars. Incisors can, but do not have to, be involved
