Implant-Supported Dentures

Dental implants replace natural tooth roots.

If a single tooth or several teeth are missing, a dental implant can be inserted into the jawbone and thus take over the function of the tooth root.

In principle, all restorations that are attached to natural teeth can also be attached to implants.

Implant-supported dentures are used as single-tooth replacements, for larger gaps between teeth or for an edentulous upper or lower jaw.

Fixed dentures are also possible in cases of complete edentulism. 

Dental implants replace the lost teeth as artificial tooth roots. Sufficient implants must be inserted into the jaw in the appropriate position to provide adequate support and anchorage for the denture.

The result is a complete replacement of the missing teeth, which is firmly anchored in the jawbone and therefore stable. Another advantage of implant-supported dentures for toothless jaws is that the palate is not covered as with a conventional denture.
